Houston’s New Hangout For Fresh Food and Inspired Eating
H.S. Green, the newest addition to Houston’s Galleria/Uptown food scene, opened its doors earlier this month offering quality-sourced food, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, in a relaxed and interactive setting. The restaurant, coined “The Good Food Bar,” allows diners to dine-in, grab-and-go or build your own breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ‘fresh casual’ Houston-based lifestyle restaurant is centrally located at 5092 Richmond Avenue, between Post Oak and Sage.
“H.S. Green is a place to enjoy and savor life. We created a laidback environment, giving our diners delicious options to fit their individual food wants.” The space, which includes surfaces covered in salvaged wood and bright green chairs, was carefully designed to be an inviting gathering place. H.S. Green’s design and menu were heavily influenced by the city of Houston’s international, dynamic backdrop. Chef-inspired food makes its way into a casual and interactive lifestyle setting, served at a pace that reflects how Houstonians live their lives.
The dine-in menu, which includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, offers well-executed dishes infused with distinct flavor profiles. Signature dishes include a crispy duck and watercress salad with chopped mango, truffle-infused roasted mushroom and chicken stone-fired pizza, Thai grilled shrimp wrap, and the chef’s binge-worthy ‘Guacamame’ (a combination of chunky guacamole laced with seasoned smashed edamame). Diners can also choose from a large selection of cold-pressed juices, smoothies, wine, beer and gourmet coffee.
“Our meals focus on freshness and convenience, while offering everyone, including meat lovers and vegetarians, healthy and indulgent options in a convenient, relaxed setting. “We are proud to be Houston-based and to bring a fresh food experience for those looking to eat and live well.”
